What the subscription controls

Your KlarVPN plan controls how much VPN bandwidth is available during each monthly cycle and whether the account is on a free or paid plan. The plan is connected to your KlarVPN account, so sign in with the same email on your personal devices to use the same subscription status.

Payment, renewal, cancellation, receipts, refunds, taxes, and payment methods are handled by the store account used to purchase the plan. KlarVPN shows the current plan status inside the app, but final billing actions are completed through the store.

Open subscription settings

Open the Profile tab and tap Manage Subscription. This opens the Subscription screen, where you can view the current plan, check data usage, upgrade, change plan, manage billing, or restore a purchase.

Understand the current plan screen

The Subscription screen shows the plan currently attached to the account. Depending on the plan, it may show monthly bandwidth, data used in the current cycle, reset timing, renewal date, billing provider, and available actions such as Upgrade Plan, Change Plan, Manage in Store, or Restore purchases.

Free plan

The Free plan gives the account 10 GB of VPN bandwidth each month. It is useful for trying KlarVPN, occasional browsing, and basic protection. When the free allowance is used, wait for the cycle to reset or upgrade to a paid plan.

Gold plan

The Gold plan gives the account 250 GB of VPN bandwidth each month. It is designed for regular use, including browsing, messaging, work, and moderate streaming. Paid plans show renewal and billing details when available.

Platinum plan

The Platinum plan includes unlimited bandwidth. It is the best option for heavy daily use, frequent streaming, large downloads, or users who do not want to watch a monthly bandwidth meter.

Plans available

KlarVPN offers three plan levels. The exact price, currency, taxes, and confirmation screen can vary by region and store account. Always review the final purchase confirmation before approving a plan change.

  • Free: 10 GB of VPN bandwidth per month.

  • Gold: 250 GB of VPN bandwidth per month.

  • Platinum: unlimited VPN bandwidth.

  • All plans can be used on personal devices signed in with the same KlarVPN account.

Upgrade or change plan

To move from Free to a paid plan, open Profile > Manage Subscription and tap Upgrade Plan. To switch between paid plans or return to Free, open the same screen and tap Change Plan.

After tapping Upgrade Plan or Change Plan, choose the plan you want. The selected plan is highlighted before you continue. The store will show the final confirmation step before charging or changing the subscription.

Downgrade to Free

A paid user can choose Free from the plan selection screen when they want to stop using a paid bandwidth tier. The app shows Continue with Free when Free is selected.

The timing of a downgrade can depend on store rules. In many cases, paid access remains available until the end of the current billing period, then the account moves to the selected lower plan.

Restore purchases

Use Restore purchases when a paid plan does not appear after reinstalling the app, changing devices, signing in again, or completing a purchase that still shows as Free.

Restore purchases asks the store to refresh the subscription status for the signed-in account. It does not create a new purchase and should not charge the user again.

For best results, make sure you are signed in to the same KlarVPN account and the same store account that originally purchased the subscription.

Billing, renewal, and payment method

Paid plan screens may show a renewal date and the billing provider. The renewal date is the date the plan is scheduled to renew unless it is changed or cancelled before that date.

Payment methods, receipts, renewal failures, refunds, taxes, regional pricing, and cancellation are managed by the store account used for purchase. KlarVPN support can help check account status, but the store controls the payment record and refund flow.

Cancel a subscription

Cancel the subscription from the store account that owns the purchase. If the Subscription screen shows a Manage in Store button, use it to open the store subscription page for the current plan.

After cancellation, access usually continues until the end of the current paid period. The plan should not renew after cancellation is complete.

Cancelling a subscription does not delete the KlarVPN account. If you also want to delete the account, cancel any active subscription first, then use the account deletion option from Profile.

Bandwidth and monthly resets

Free and Gold plans have monthly bandwidth limits. The Subscription screen shows how much data has been used in the current cycle and when the cycle resets. Platinum does not use a monthly bandwidth limit.

  • If the data allowance is enough for the month, keep using the current plan.

  • If the allowance is running low, switch to a higher plan before the limit is reached.

  • If the allowance is used up, wait for the reset or upgrade the plan.

Common billing issues

Paid plan does not appear

  • Confirm that the same KlarVPN account is signed in.

  • Confirm that the store account used for purchase is active on the device.

  • Open Profile > Manage Subscription and tap Restore purchases.

  • Restart the app if the plan status does not refresh immediately.

Charged but still on Free

  • Wait a few minutes for the purchase status to sync.

  • Use Restore purchases from the Subscription screen.

  • Make sure the purchase was completed on the correct KlarVPN account.

  • Contact support with the account email, purchase date, plan selected, and receipt or order ID. Do not send full card details or passwords.

Price or currency looks different

The displayed price can change based on country, currency, taxes, promotions, and store account settings. The final confirmation screen from the store is the source of truth for the amount that will be charged.

Subscription & Billing FAQs

Where do I manage my subscription?

Open Profile > Manage Subscription. From there, view the current plan, change plan, restore purchases, or open the store management page if the plan is paid.

Will Restore purchases charge me again?

No. Restore purchases refreshes the existing purchase status. It does not start a new subscription by itself.

Can I use one subscription on multiple devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same KlarVPN account on your personal devices. Each device can use its own tunnel configuration while sharing the same account plan.

What happens when Free or Gold bandwidth runs out?

VPN use may be limited until the monthly cycle resets or the account moves to a higher plan. Platinum includes unlimited bandwidth.

Does billing require browsing logs?

No. Billing and bandwidth status do not require browsing history, DNS queries, destination websites, or packet content.
